We are excited to announce that this summer Echo Hill Ranch will host the 3rd Annual Family Camp designed to support children who because of abuse or neglect must live outside of their own home, either temporarily or permanently with their relatives---and to include their caregivers who may be an uncle, aunt or grandparent in the camp program at the ranch.
The 3rd Annual Family Camp is scheduled for July 26th -29th, 2013, and is made possible by private donors like you, who are members of our Echo Hill Family and share our belief that low-income foster families can benefit immensely from a three night, four day camping experience at Echo Hill.
The kinship foster families who attend the camp are referred by the Harris County Kinship Care Program of The Texas Department of Family and Protective Services. We are also working with the Center for Family Strengths at the University of Houston-Downtown who has invited a panel of camp participants to discuss their experience at the 2nd Annual Family Camp to speak at the UHD Symposium September 5-6, 2012.
Pay Pal or check donations go directly to the Echo Hill Family Camp Project of the Harris County Children’s Protective Services Fund, a 501 (c) 3 account that will confirm receipt of your donation by a formal letter.

Echo Hill provides a full program of activities, transportation as well as room and board for 12 families, composed of 40 children and 15 adults for 3 nights and 4 days. Based on our experience last summer the full cost of the program is about $15,000. In 2011 we raised $11,000.00 from Echo Hill Alumni and friends, and in 2012 we raised $18,000.00 from Alumni, professional colleagues and friends!
